Graduation Day!! Spring Camp #4
What a beautiful day to be at the beach having a doggie camp!
We had fun fun & fun!!
We all love camps days!
And the fact that after a wonderful day we can sit with the 14 dogs, from a 100 pound bullmastiff to a 6 pound poodle all together, happy and relax like a good happy family its incredible rewarding…. Thank you!!!
SOBE here we go: Spring Camp # 3
Finally we made it to Ocean Drive. We had been thinking to add this place to our camp’s adventures and today we did it and for sure this will be a must to return place.
Not only we had so much fun strolling up and down the road at the cafes and restaurants full of people, tables, waitress, music, food, but also we walked along the beach side full of runners, skateboards, bicycles, motorcycles, rollerblades, baby-strolls, other dogs and all type of people – perfect scenario for a perfect dog training and socialization camp day!
We had an intensive practice on “heeling” in group and we squeezed between the people and tables making our campers to deal with small spaces without being reactive. We also had our moments of “pet the doggies” 🙂 and reviewed the obedience basics down and sit stay while the bicycles were passing by. We “had a break” so your dogs needed to squeezed once again but now under the table while we drank an ice tea!
Lovely day!
And all your dogs did fantastic!! Each on their on level and with their own challenges.
Finally we returned home and we had an extra hour of free-playing time!!
TV – Hablando Perro (speaking dog)- last episode 2nd season!!
Today was the last t.v. shooting of the program Mi Mascota _ Hablando Perro. (Channel V-ME ( PBS ‘ s spanish))
(Canal V-ME)
There are so many reasons why I am super super happy:
(Hay muchísimas razones del porque estoy tan pero tan contenta:)
*During the two programs we talked about why is so important that dogs have toys and play with their owners and also we discussed about dog’s separation anxiety and how we can prevent it, modify and understand better our dogs.
If one or two person in the whole country change how they interact with their dogs and make a deeper connection with their companions then a lot of what i dream is reach.
* Almost twelve years ago i rescued Venus and Gea from the middle of no-where in Mexico. At that time people thought i was crazy rescuing dogs that look like “mexican market-street dogs”. Today VENUS was the STAR of the show. She did all. Good girl, bad girl, relax dog, anxious dog, happy dog!!! I am soooo proud of my girl.
Buena chica, Mala Chica, Perro relajado, perro ansioso, perro feliz!! Estoy súper orgullosa de mi niña!!!)
Last week she was really sick as she had a bad reaction to an allergic medicine, and today even she did not look yet her best she was the best! ” I love you Venus – thank you”. I am bless to share this day with her and work together to create awareness of how to become a better multi-specie family!
I want to thanks the extra talented dogs: Gea, Lucy and Scout. They did great!!
(Quiero agradecer a los perros extra-talentosos : Gea, Lucy y Scout.)
And of course all the Plural Crew (JAvi- Director and Cris, Hernan, Rafael. And Carolina that is not still with us but she is).
(Thank you my love Ludovic to be with us. 🙂
Spring Camp # 2 One & One Clicker Training
What a beautiful day to train at the park near to the water, with the wind refreshing everybody while some of the dog’s ear were waving like flags !
Today was one and one clicker training. Beside reviewing and advancing the obedience that each dog already has we also teached them a new command: leave it!
The “leave it” command is a very important communication to teach to your dog. It will help them learn what is inappropriate to chew, and it may keep them from eating something harmful or toxic. You will be surprised how often you will find yourself saying this command! The goal of the command “leave it” is to to bring your dog’s attention back to you, away from any object (food, cat, skateboard, etc) that attracts him/her, so you can reward her/him.
Learning something new is always challenging and fun. We will continue work in the command in a more advance level.
After the hard work at school, time to play!!!
